Splendour of East (Visit Sunderban Forest & Kolkata City)

Meet, greet upon arrival at the Kolkata Airport. Today you will begin for visit to Mangrove Forest & City of Joy.  From Kolkata Airport shall proceed for drive towards Godkhali Jetty (100 Kms/3 -4 hrs). Your surface drive through the suburbs of Kolkata and then the country side with lush green paddy fields and mud huts with thatched roof which is very unique to this part of the world.

On arrival at Godkhali Jetty and embark on the boat. Proceed to our resort through rivers Gomor, Durgadhwani to enter River Pitchkhali, on the bank of which lies the Resort overlooking the Sundarban Tiger Reserve. Hot Lunch will be served at our resort. After Lunch proceed to Bird's Island and Sunset Point and then check-in to the Resort. The Resort’s people welcome you at their private jetty.

Sundarban Tiger Reserve, biggest Mangrove Forest and a World Heritage site declared by UNESCO in the year 1985. The Sunderban National Park is many things at once, a biosphere reserve, national park and tiger reserve, such is the richness of this mangrove ecosystem. In Sundarban National Park in West Bengal, the tiger makes his round with an unmatched stealth and grace.

Evening Tea and snacks will be served followed by Tribal Dance performed by the local people of Sundarbans.

Dinner will be served at 9.00 PM.

Wake up at 6:00 AM and hot tea will be served in your room. Reporting at Jetty ghat at 7:00 AM in the morning for a thrilling cruise   towards Sajnekhali Watchtower and Mangrove Interpretation Centre, then proceed to deep Jungle Safari through creeks and dense forest and numerous rivers. like Sarakkhali1,Sudhanyakhali ,Bonbibibharani, Sunderkhali , Pirkhali , Dobanki and Panchmukhani where you may see deer ,water monitor lizards, monkeys,  wild boars , crocodiles and the Royal Bengal Tiger. Lunch will be served on board Boat or in the Resort.

Evening walk through the native village. You will encounter many wonderful sights as you learn about the lifestyle, local crafts, cuisines, and way of life of the local villagers.

In the evening join us for Tea/Coffee with snacks and  watch cultural program of Baul Folk songs and dinner at 9:00 PM.

Wakeup call at 7:00am.  Breakfast at 8:30am, After Breakfast checkout at hotel and proceed to Gosaba. On the way take a look at the Hamilton Bungalow and Rabindranath Tagore Bungalow.

After Early Lunch (Packed Lunch). Then disembark from boat and shall proceed for drive back to Kolkata.

Upon arrival at Kolkata shall check-in your hotel. In the evening you may explore the nearby market on your own.

Apart from that the city also has a great historical background that relates to the British era. enhance your factual knowledge about the city in an interesting way.

Overnight in Kolkata

Today morning you are doing Full Day Kolkata Sightseeing Tour then Visit Princep Ghat, Rabindra Nath Tagore House, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Victoria Memorial Hall, Dakhineshwar Kali Temple & Belur Math. Drive Past the General Post Office, Shaheed Minar, Eden Gardens, Howrah Station, Writers’ Building, Maidan, Town Hall, Fort William and drive over the Howrah Bridge and Vidyasagar Bridge.

In the evening spend time at the colourful market in the Esplanade Area.

The most famous things other than the Kolkata Sightseeing Tour is the food. Kolkata has a unique mix of all possible restaurants serving Indian as well as International cuisine.Bengali food is famous for it curries and sea food. Sweets or Misti like ''roshogolla'' gives the city its identity.

After the city tour come back to your hotel.

Morning is at leisure. Then after breakfast shall transfer you to the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport for onward journey.
