Surrounding the popular, Kumbhalgarh Fort, Khumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary is situated in Rajsamand District of Rajasthan. The sanctuary spreads in an area of 610.5 sq km covering parts of Rajsamand, Udaipur, and Pali districts. It also covers four hill and mountain ranges of the Aravallis – Kumbhalgarh Range; Sadri Range; Desuri Range and the Bokhada Range. Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary can be explored either by jeep safari, trekking or by riding a horse.

The wildlife sanctuary in Rajasthan is known for being the home to a variety of animals including some endangered species. The top predator in the sanctuary is leopard who preys on animals like sambhar, nilgai, chausingha (the four horned antelope), chinkara and Indian hare. There are a large number of birds to be sighted in Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary, the most common one spotted here is the grey jungle fowl.

Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary is home to a very large variety of wild life, and some of them are highly dying out species. The wild life includes wolf, leopards, sloth bear, hyena, jackal, jungle cat, sambhar, nilgai, chausingha or the four horned antelope, chinkara and hare. The bird life at Kumbhalgarh is also enjoyable. The normally shy and untrusting grey jungle fowl can be spotted here. You will also see the peacocks and doves can be seen on a regular basis feeding on grains provided by the jungle guards and caretakers. Bird like the red spur owls, parakeets, golden oriole, grey pigeons, Bulbul, and white breasted kingfisher can also be seen near the water holes. Kumbhalgarh’s natural beauty attracts hundreds of tourists and because of its easy conveyance connectivity from Udaipur, which is 100 km from here. Foot trekking and horse safari organized by local tour operators are proving to be very popular. A typical jungle safari route enters the sanctuary from the Kumbhalgarh Fort and cutting across the sanctuary to reach Ghanerao, and then borders an old abandoned road. On this road, one can sight Chinkaras, Neelgais, four horned Antelope and many birds.

Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary is a well-known tourist attraction counted majorly on Rajasthan Tourism. Day 1
Arrive Udaipur - Kumbhalgaarh
Meet, assistance upon arrival at Udaipur Airport or Railway Station and shall proceed for drive towards Kumbhalgrh (95 Kms/2.5 hrs). Upon arrival at Kumbahalgarh shall proceed for check-in to your hotel.

Afternoon you will proceed for exclusive Jeep Safari at Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary.

Located in the rugged Aravali range, the Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary is a sprawling wildlife reserve spread around 600 sq km in Rajasthan. The sanctuary encircles the massive fort of Kumbhalgarh and is also has named after it. Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary is known for its high hills and narrow valleys that add to the scenic beauty of the area.

The sanctuary is home to a very large variety of animals, some of which are highly endangered. The top predator in the sanctuary is leopard who preys on animals like sambhar, nilgai, chausingha (the four horned antelope), chinkara and Indian hare. Kumbhalgarh reserve has the distinction of being the only sanctuary where wolf breeding has been successfully conducted.

Apart from its vibrant wildlife, the sanctuary is also a haven for birds with several species making it their home. The rare grey jungle fowl can be easily spotted quite often along with white breasted kingfisher. Birds like the red spur owls, parakeets, golden oriole, peacocks and doves can also be spotted.

Today morning proceed for exclusive Jeep Safari at Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary. After the visit come back to hotel for breakfast.

Later you will proceed for visit The Kumbhalgarh Fort is the birthplace of the famous Maharana Pratap. It is situated at an elevation of 1,100 metres on a hilltop with 7 fortified gateways and over 360 temples inside the premises. Kumbhalgarh is the second most important citadel after Chittorgarh in the Mewar region. Cradled in the Aravali Ranges the fort was built in the 15th century AD by Rana Kumbha. The fort also offers a superb bird's eye view of the surroundings and now it’s a UNESCO World Heritage site.

In the evening proceed for village visit by private Gypsy. Head back to the village and enjoy your evening with the villagers share folk songs and the children dance around you. A place where colours and cultures are dominated as the majestic forms of Rajasthan Tourism.

Kumbhalgarh - Udaipur and Departure
Morning is at leisure. Later, you will be transferred to Udaipur Airport or Railway Station for onward journey.
