Beauty, Backwater & Wildlife’s in Kerala

Today morning arrive at Cochin Airport. On arrival meet, assist and shall proceed for drive towards to Munnar (135 Kms/05 hrs) is 1800 mts above sea level and also the place of South India’s highest peak (anamudi-2695 mts). One of the most sought-after honeymoon destinations in Kerala, Munnar has sprawling tea plantations, picturesque towns.

After breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Munnar. Mattupetty dam, Echo Point, Kundala Dam, Pothenmedu Viewpoint and Blossom Park.

One of the main attractions near Munnar is the Eravikulam National Park. This park is famous for its endangered inhabitant - the Nilgiri Tahr. Spread over an area of 97 sq. km., this park is also home to several species of rare butterflies, animals and birds. A great place for trekking, the park offers a magnificent view of the tea plantations caressed by blankets of mists.

Morning have breakfast at resort later check out resort and drive to Thekkady (100 Kms/04 hrs). Thekkady is a world famous Periyar wildlife sanctuary.

Periyar, set in the heart of the Cardamom Hills of Kerala is famous for its Wildlife Sanctuary. As the road winds through mountains, you will descend through a carpet of tea bushes, estates of tall rubber trees and gardens of coffee, cardamom and pepper. Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the premier reserves of Southern India and home of the wild elephant, the bison, antelopes, langurs and sambar that can be observed from the launches that cruise the lake.

On arrival check-in to your hotel. Afternoon shall proceed for a game viewing cruise on the Periyar Lake. Here you will be able to see a large variety of wildlife, which include elephants, monkeys, deer, wild boar etc.

Overnight stay at a resort in Thekkady                                                   Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Today morning take another visit to the Periyar Sanctuary. After the visit come back to hotel for breakfast.

Then in the afternoon shall proceed for Spice plantation tour. You can take an Elephant ride at Periyar wildlife.

In the evening enjoy a martial art show.

Today proceed for drive to Kumarakom (90 Kms/2 hrs). Upon arrival at the Jettyy embark on the houseboat. After having welcome drink start cruise through the Vembanad lake which is the largest freshwater lake in Asia. Sail along the main hub of backwater canals through the huge Vembanad Lake, observing and experiencing the country life that comes along the backwaters of Kerala.

All meals will be prepared by your personal chef onboard.

After Kerala style breakfast, disembark from the houseboat. Say bye to the backwater and shall transfer you to the Cochin Airport (65 Kms/02 hrs) to board your flight for onward journey.
